SEPARATE WRITTEN  RECOVERY PROGRAMMES
FOR PHOBIAS / O.C.D

Introduction

1. What is the course for?

This is a new programme to help you overcome your phobia / O.C.D.  At the end of it, you should have achieved a great deal, even if you haven't got rid of your fears altogether.  You should be able:

to tolerate many of the situations that now frighten you

to live a fuller and more normal life

to approach all your problems with more self-confidence.

2. Who is the course for?

It's for anyone who has a phobia / O.C.D that is bad enough to handicap them and restrict their lives.

whether you are old or young

whether you are male or female

whether your phobia / O.C.D is recent or long-standing

whether you have one phobia / O.C.D or a 'cluster' of them.

Everyone will be able to benefit, provided there are no medical reasons to prevent it.

3.    How does it work?  Will it cure me?

There are two elements to the course: [ to order please see below ]

     1. this package of printed materials.
2. self-exposure ‘homework’ and practice.

We must make three important points here:

FIRST                 There is no such thing as a ‘cure’ for anxiety because anxiety is a natural part of life.  What we are looking for is recovery - the ability to cope with anxiety the way ‘normal’ people do.

SECOND            Nothing that comes from the outside can cure you because the problem is inside you.  It is the things that you do that will bring recovery and the course is mainly there to help you do them.

THIRD                 Although many thousands of people have recovered using methods like this and although this is the most advanced course of its kind available, there is no guarantee of success.

Though this course is NOT a magic wand, which will automatically make your burden of fear evaporate, it does provide a new and different way of helping you to help yourself.
