Volunteer Vacancies for our Help-line

  • Could you be a volunteer?

The answer is probably YES, because you have taken the trouble to have a look at this request.
No Panic volunteer’s are people who are interested in helping others who suffer from anxiety.
There isn’t a typical volunteer.  You might have suffered.  You might well be on the road to recovery.  You might be a carer. You might be of a caring nature.

  • What does it involve?

We ask for a minimum of one three hour shift a week.  Working from home on the telephone.  Shifts run between 10.00 a.m. and 10.00 p.m.  No Panic operates everyday of the year.  Attendance at telephone support groups is mandatory and involves one hour of your time.  These groups start on a fortnightly basis and over a period of time move on to bi-monthly.  There is also a small amount of paperwork.

  •  Will you be busy?

Last year No Panic took over 60,000 calls.

  •  Training

Training is of the highest standard and is carried out, over the telephone, in a group situation.  This works extremely well and successful students receive a certificate at the end of the course.

  • Looking ahead

You may be interested to know, that after one year on the help-line, you can take further training, if you wish, to become a  telephone recovery group leader.
